Obcinele Bucovinei

The Mounts “Obcinele Bucovinei” represent the north-eastern part of Carpates Orientals. These mounts are located between the Plate of Moldavie (in the east), Valley of Bistrita with its affluent the river of “Carlibaba” in the west, the river of Suceava in north and the collar Mestecanis and the Valleys of Putna and Moldova, in the south.
There are three solid masses:
Les Monts Obcinele Bucovinei
- Obcina Pond
- Obcina Feredeului
- Obcina Mestecanis

The mounts go down in staircase from the west to the east and they do not exceed 1600m.
In the west of “Obcinele Bucovinei” there is a line of the volcanic mounts (which start in Oas and finish in the Ciumatu mount.
“Obcina Mestecanisulului” is composed of the crystalline schist (highest)
The part Is made up of likings (Obcina Feredeului, Obcina Mare).
