Lidia Lipkovski


 Nicknamed LIPKOVSKA born April 28 to Babin department Hotine,  dead on 2 February 1958 in Beirut, Lebanon.
Opera singer, and professor of lieder singing.

Studies in Gymnasium for girls Kamenets Podolsk, she married Hristofor Marsner student in Oriental Languages. It pursues the course of the Imperial Conservatory of Peters burg (1903-1906) perfected it at La Scala of Milan (1906-1907).

Great soloist Marinski Theater and Music Theater of St. Petersburg (1914-1915).

She was a professor at the Conservatoire de Chisinau, Odessa (1941-1942), Cluj and Timisoara (1948-1949) after in Paris (1950-1953)

She sang on the stages of opera in Paris, Warsaw, Chisinau, Vienna, Rostov, Tokyo, Rome, Beijing, New York, London and under the direction of major conductors like Otto Klemperer, Arturo Toscanini, E. Massini, A. Couts, N. K. Mal

His vast repertoire of more than 60 roles in operas including Rigoletto, Faust, Bohemian Lohenngrin, Don Giovanni, Ruslan and Ludmila.

Lipovska was one of the opera stars of the early twentieth century, noted for his impeccable technique, his voice and his impeccable stage presence, a musical memory out of the ordinary and volcanic temperament.

She sang in French, Russian, German, English; As a teacher of singing, she had students who became famous as Leonid Boixan, Virginia Zean, Maria Tobuc Cerkes. She has also written memories published post mortem in Chisinau (Moldova).
