George Bacovia
 

Romanian poet. Born on 17 September 1881 in Bacau in the south of Moldova, whose real name is George Vasiliu died on 22 May 1957 in Bucharest.

Its the College "Ferdinand" in Bacau until 1894. After he tries a military career in which he was unable to cope.

In 1903 he left his hometown to Bucharest where he met the poet Alexandru Macedonski.

In 1907 began studying law in Iasi and in 1911 enrolled at the Bar of Lawyers. He will never practice his profession preferring other jobs: teacher, accountant, civil servant.

Then in 1914 he fell ill and the disease will change the course of his life. His first volume 3Plomb3 the price gets the Ministry of Arts in 1923 and in 1925 he received the Award of the Society of Writers and in 1934 the National Prize for poetry.

Author of a work as much reduced, remains a poet Bacovia fundamental to the evolution of Romanian literature. Thousands of pages were devoted to an analysis of its unique and special.

He starts with the symbolism, but his obsessive ideas and transform his poetry live. It is the work of a perfect unity of style that expresses the status of genius who live in precarious conditions and by means of ys'échapper.

Obsessive ideas become the leit motifs such as loneliness, emptiness, the strange, melancholy, and death as suction or feeling. Loneliness is an immediate consequence of the awareness of the inefficiency.

 He was married to Agatha Grigorescu Bacovia, with whom he lived in Bucharest, not far from the "Bellu. Agatha Grigorescu Bacovia, herself a writer, has made many memories on the life of the poet,

Despite its dull and mundane life, marked by illness, depression and unhappiness, Bacovia was a writer very much appreciated by generations of readers and writers who found themselves among his disciples.
