Targu Mures                   

Located at the east of the plate of Transylvania, 68 km from Cluj, 395 of Bucharest, 170 of Brasov and 55 of Sighisoara.

The city was mentioned since 1332, under the name of “Novum Forum Syculorum” (New fair of Sicules).

At the time modern, the city experienced a fast development and was essential as the principal city of Wall.

After the fire which devastated it at the beginning of the XVII ème century, the city made great strides without precedent. The revolution of 1848 had a particularly important echo there.

The medieval citadel was built with the XV ème century and was strengthened two century later.

It comprises an enclosing wall equipped with seven turns of defense, the tower control and six others turns of which each one carries not of the trade association that it had in load.
One can visit the evangelic church of Gothic style, having belonged to the monks franciscains.

The Palate of the culture, monumental building, with many external decorations, it was built in 1912 in the style secession Viennese by the architects Konor Marcell and Jakab Deszo.

It shelters the museum of history of the art of the city. With proximity, have sees the elegant building of style worsens of the Teleky-Bolyai Library which counts an invaluable bottom of more than 40.000 old books and rare manuscripts.
