The Palace of the culture of lasi

The town of Iasi is located on seven hills, Iasi represents for much it arts centre of Romania.

The first center of interest is it palate of the culture, it carries the print of the style negothic "flamboyant" it was built between 1906 and 1925 according to plans' of architect I.D.Berindei.

The Palate was built on the ruins of the old princely court of Moldavia and the legend say that each one of its 365 parts corresponds to each days of the year.

In the Gothic room have can admire the mosaic which represents one bestiary medieval (des let us scratch, of the bicephalous eagles, the lions).

On the floor superior, in the room of the voïvode, is the portraits of princes de Moldova and of kings de Rumania.

The room Henri Coanda is very famous thanks to the stucco works that the Rumanian inventor realized of a material imitating wood. At present, the Palate of the Culture shelter the Library of Gheorghe Asachi and four museums:
 

• The museum of art,
• The museum of history of Moldova,
• The museum of Ethnography,
• Polytechnic museum.
